just lily

Our Story

Just Lily was created by Kim Hambleton in 2010 and named after her daughter Lily.  Just Lily was born out of a frustration with the jewellery available at the time which was poor quality, expensive and lacked originality.  Kim quickly set to work and found a hand selected group of independent makers who welcomed the challenge to create unique individual pieces which were original, high quality and affordable. Kim launched her new jewellery range late 2010 proving an instant success.

From there the business quickly grew with Just Lily attending national events including Blenheim Palace, Chatsworth Christmas Market (which we still attend today), Sandringham, BBC Countryfile and ITV This Morning Live at the NEC as well as numerous large corporate HQ's.

Harbour Hut One...

Kim's intention was always to return home to Cornwall where she was born and raised and in July 2020 she finally moved with her husband Simon.  Missing Just Lily, Kim took the decision to start attending Cornish events and in December 2020 attended the Enchanted Market at the Cornwall Show Ground. This was a magical moment as Kim was told of a small harbour hut in Porthleven which had become available as a seasonal let for 2021...

April 2021 saw the opening of Harbour Hut One in Porthleven, within months Just Lily had become firmly established with previous customers from around the UK now visiting Cornwall and rediscovering Just Lily.  Through the summer Simon, Kims husband, joined the business full-time with the intention of helping Kim to grow Just Lily across Cornwall.

and then came

Our Shops

On the back of the success from Harbour Hut One an opportunity arose to secure a shop in Mousehole and on Valentines Day 2022 Just Lily's first shop opened. With the additional space Kim was able, for the first time, to introduce Home and Gift items, focusing on independent makers, where quality and affordability were key.

April 2022 saw the introduction of Harbour Hut Five, Porthleven focusing on hand selected Home and Gift. After a successful summer season Kim and Simon became aware that Debbie Bramwell who had owned the successful Stargazy shop in Porthleven was looking to retire... So in late October 2022 the second Just Lily shop opened at 10 Fore Street Porthleven.

Chatsworth Christmas market was back and in November 2022 Just Lily returned to Chatsworth with 2 chalets, Jewellery and the new introduction of Home and Gift.   After so long away, due to Covid, it was great to catch up with previous customers and introduce Just Lily to new customers for the first time.

Early 2023 Kim and Simon where starting to think of where the next Just Lily would open when Kim's dad called.  He was in Falmouth and had just stumbled across the perfect location, within 3 days the shop sale was agreed and on the 19th May 2023 Just Lily Falmouth opened at 50 Church Street.

Since the early beginnings of Just Lily Cornwall in April 2021, the small team of just Kim and Simon has now grown to 16 amazing staff who all help to make Just Lily welcoming and a great place to visit.
